DriveON checklist before you leave the yard
What Ontario publishes about commercial safety inspections, and what GT Auto can inspect: trucks to 9,000 kg and trailers to 4,500 kg.
GT Auto does Ontario DriveON inspections with yellow stickers. Trucks up to 9,000 kg. Trailers up to 4,500 kg. Request a time so we can confirm the vehicle and how long to allow.
Ontario’s DriveON pages (ontario.ca) say annual safety inspections for most trucks and trailers over 4,500 kg combined gross weight are done at a certified Vehicle Inspection Centre. The yellow annual sticker belongs on the lower left of the windshield or the left side of the cab; trailers get it on the left side near the front.
For a DriveON inspection at this shop, bring the vehicle. You do not need ownership, a CVOR, or insurance.
If the vehicle fails, we can talk about the repair on the same visit when the bay allows. We do not promise a same-day sticker.
